Battle of Two Foundations (L’Oreal & Bourjois)

Many of you may know that I have loved the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum for a really long time. It’s the perfect foundation on my dry skin and nothing I have tried for a long time compares. Pretty sure I did a review, click here to read it.

I took a risk the other day and bought a foundation without doing any research, the only thing I knew was that I’d heard good things. We all know that hearing good things about a product doesn’t by any means mean that it will work for you so I took a bit of a risk but I do not regret it.

I decided to apply a different foundation to each half of my face., I wanted to see how they compare on application and which one wears best throughout the day.

L’Oreal Infalliable.

Bourgois Healthy Mix Serum

I cannot tell the difference between these two foundations. Everything is very similar, the finish and the colour are identical. They both apply nicely and blend easily. As nice as this is, they’re both in the same price range and they both appear to do the job just as well as each other, which makes owning those, relatively pointless.

The only thing that could make one significantly better would be if one wears better throughout the day but I genuinely think they are equal.

What do you think?

  1. I haven't tried the loreal one but I always used to use the healthy mix and loved it 🙂 How did you find the loreal for lasting power? It's always my biggest criticism with foundations as I so often feel like they become visible on the skin after a few hours 😦
I absolutely love whatever you have on your cheeks and lips they're such pretty colours!
    Love Holly xx

  2. They both last all day, still firmly in place at 7pm. I'm wearing Maybelines Lipstick in Coral Crush and i've got Bobbi Brown's blusher in Pale Pink on my cheeks 🙂 If you have trouble with foundation staying I'd THOROUGHLY recommend one of the Urban Decay setting sprays, I love mine.
